Greenhouse addition to supplement as a heater.

Updated: Apr 10

  • Lean to barn design greenhouse attached to back of house, barely. It's removable for now with about 10 screws into my house. Rest is 24" spaced. pressure treated on bottom only, that into concrete with screws. I left one rough 30 slot for a 28" door.

  • All organic hydro and soil plants to use in my house and our family vs pesticide store bought. Mine is 13'x11', i built the entire thing for a 1000$ in materials, and my own thoughts.I painted the 2x4s and 2x6s black with one gallon from Lowe's.

  • Sounds cool? Wait for this part. A window or vent from it into your main home that keep open in sunny winter days. We're talking 50-60 degrees difference inside the greenhouse even in pretty cold days that are sunny. 95 degrees is not uncommon. This heat can possibly keep my downstairs more manageable and not run heater 24/7.

  • Could add a solar panel for hydro pumps but I prolly just use electric have. There's energy to be produced here though.

  • I'm almost done, it's not exactly easy to find these 12' sections of decent plastic but it's doable at local Home Depot online and willing to wait. Check it out.

  • Only one problem, I built it going into the summer and don't need heat, but oh well, still chilly out for now.

  • Shoot me message if think it's cool, i don't need to sell you but I can tell you how to do it if need help.
